Houzz Ceiling Fans Living Room

It's time to kick your dated ceiling fans to the curb! One of these ten stylish bedroom ceiling fans would be perfect for your space!

Our new house in North Carolina is filled with ceiling fans – NINE of them to be exact! I'm a sucker for beautiful chandeliers and pendants so a few of these ceiling fans are simply going to have to go but the rest will be replaced with ones that are a whole lot less dated. I'm starting with the bedroom ceiling fans and after hours of searching, I've come up with what I think are the ten prettiest ceiling fans out there. And today I'm sharing my stylish favorites so you can join me in kicking your old, dated ceiling fans to the curb! (post includes affiliate links – full disclosure statement available {here})

1. Minka Aire Roto Ceiling Fan

The Minka Aire Roto ceiling fan that you can find {HERE} and {HERE} is simple, sleek, and quiet and available in five pretty color options. If you're looking for a fan that's unobtrusive and blends into it's surroundings, this fan in White is a great choice but check out the beautiful Coal and Driftwood finishes too:

Loving these simple, sleek, pretty ceiling fans! Great color options!

2. Hunter Hepburn Ceiling Fan

Pretty ceiling fans that include a light are particularly hard to find! I love the Hunter Hepburn fan found {HERE} and {HERE} that has a stylish globe light and blades that reverse from white to aged oak:

Such a pretty ceiling fan - love the globe light and reversible blades!

I bought this one as a bedroom ceiling fan for my daughters' room and absolutely LOVE it!

3. Peregrine Industrial Ceiling Fan

If you've got a large bedroom you're looking to find a pretty ceiling fan for and a generous budget too, this 60″ Peregrine Industrial fan found {HERE} is beautiful! The design is simple, yet very stylish and there are several color/finish options to choose from. I'm especially loving the brushed satin with walnut combo that works well in a living room too:

Love this beautiful ceiling fan! The brushed satin plus walnut combination is a stunner!

4. Westinghouse Industrial Ceiling Fan

Switching gears to something more budget friendly, the Westinghouse Industrial 56″ ceiling fan found {HERE} is the most contemporary of the fans on my list.  I love its sleek, simple design and it's priced really well. It's a large fan that's designed for industrial spaces but can also be used residentially in a large bedroom with high ceilings (due to how low down from the ceiling the blades on this fan are located it wouldn't be a good choice for a room with 8′ ceilings). It's available in both brushed nickel and white:

Such a great price for these simple, sleek, ceiling fans!

5. Xeno Ceiling Fan

The Xeno ceiling fan found {HERE} is another pretty one and it's rated for both indoor and outdoor use! It's available in three color options – white, dark bronze, and brushed nickel.

She found so many pretty ceiling fans - love these and #4 and #7 too!

6. Falcon LED Ceiling Fan

This sleek 3-blade fan found {HERE} is one of the most stylish (and unfortunately expensive) ones of the bunch with a propeller design and LED light:

Loving this gorgeous ceiling fan - the most stylish one I've seen!

It comes in eight different color/finish options so there's a great match for pretty much any space. Also check out the Spitfire indoor/outdoor ceiling fan found {HERE} that's a similar design.

7. Cranbrook Ceiling Fan

This Cranbrook ceiling fan found {HERE} has a unique design with a painted drum shade – I especially love the Dove Gray color and think it would be the perfect bedroom ceiling fan:

The cutest ceiling fan!!! Love the design and the color options - so pretty!

8. Minka Aire Downrod Mount Ceiling Fan

The 52″ Mika Aire fan found {HERE} has a simple, clean-lined design that would work well with almost any style of decor. If you'd like a fan that blends in with your ceiling, this could by the one for you.

A great streamlined, stylish ceiling fan - one of ten pretty ceiling fan options in this post!

If you prefer a slightly more industrial vibe, it's also available in Brushed Aluminum {HERE}.

9. Sonet Satin Brass Ceiling Fan

This Sonet Satin Brass Ceiling Fan found {HERE} isn't cheap but she sure is pretty and wins the award for the most glamorous fan on the list with a satin brass base and acrylic blades:

Such a pretty ceiling fan with a satin brass base and acrylic fan blades!

It also has an LED light that blends into the rest of the design seamlessly. I bought it for our guest bedroom and can't wait to see what it looks like once it's hung! Also check out {this fan} if you want a fan with acrylic blades but want to spend less.

10. Embrace Ceiling Fan

If you live in an older home with smaller rooms and low ceilings, this Embrace Ceiling Fan in Matte White found {HERE} is a great choice for a bedroom ceiling fan since it hugs the ceiling:

One ceiling fan buying tip is to choose one that blends in with your ceiling such as this white fan!

It includes a light with a cap so you can choose to use it with or without lighting – so smart! {This hugger ceiling fan} is another very similar option.

Along with my top ten bedroom ceiling fan choices, I wanted to share some guidelines for choosing the right ceiling fan size for your space:

Ceiling Fan Size for Room

The size (measured as the diameter of the ceiling fan) should be proportional to the room. Here are some handy guidelines from Energy Star:

Rooms up to 75 square feet = 29-36 inch fan

Rooms 76-144 square feet = 36-42 inch fan

Rooms 144-225 square feet = 44 inch fan

Rooms 225-400 square feet = 50-54 inch fan

And one last tip is to be sure and keep the height of your ceiling in mind when selecting a fan – once hung, the fan blades should be a minimum of 7′ from the floor but 8′ – 9′ above the floor is ideal if you have ceilings that are 9′ high or higher. For ceilings over 9′, your ceiling fan will definitely need a downrod with the length depending upon the exact ceiling height.

So what do you think – do you have a favorite?
